This lovely necklace contains 80!!! Individual opal beads, a rose quartz bead, and a yellow hematoid quartz bead. I got the opals from the East Coast Gem and Mineral show August 2023, and I’ve been holding on to them, waiting for the right time to use them.
After visiting Amsterdam this year and blowing my whole travel budget on lamp work glass beads, I finally decided to make a necklace with all of my most precious items in my collection. Not only does this necklace have finer materials, but a lot of really lovely memories attached. It felt right to make a pride necklace out of all of the joy that bead-foraging has brought me.
