I think this episode is so interesting. Throughout the show, Wirt goes on this hero’s journey but never does it quite right. He leads his brother home only to go further into the woods, he makes decisions that are selfish, he rescues the damsel in distress only to find out that SHE’S the monster. I think this episode was a big turning point for Wirt in really understanding what it’s like to exist in the unknown.
